The Active Financial/CSP Running Blind 2016 race took place on Saturday 13th August 2016 at Stormont, Belfast.
170 entrants ran the multi-surface courses - in blindfolds.
The event raised £1,347.86 for
Guide Dogs in Northern Ireland
The organisers of Running Blind would like to extend our sincere and grateful thanks to the numerous supporters who made everything possible, and without whose support we really could not have presented this event, nor been able to support Guide Dogs in NI as we have been able to.
In particular, grateful thanks go to:
Active Financial, Warrenpoint (main sponsor)
Commercial Spare Parts, Portadown (prize sponsor)
Fit for Life Physiotherapy (physio services)
Spar NI (providers of water and bananas)
My Sports Photos (official photographer)
Born 2 Run (running events)
Championchip Ireland (chip timing)
Mags Mathieson and Michael Kelly (registration and pack collection)
Tim Redmond, Christine Murray and Zac Redmond (set up and race start)
The numerous volunteers who helped us set up or marshal
Emma Barclay, who put up with a lot, especially on the day!
But the biggest thanks of all go to:
YOU, the good folk who entered Running Blind 2016!
Your support allowed us to raise over £1,300 for Guide Dogs in NI.
Guide Running UK is an excellent source of information, support, guide runners and blind/VI runners seeking guide runners:
