The 5k course is suitable for families, including buggies. Dogs are also welcome but MUST be kept on a short lead.

RUNNING BLIND

the race where you have a chance to run... blind!

Think that you have what it takes to run blind? Come down and find out.

5k or 10k, find your partner, take on the challenge and support a local charity.

WHEN?

WHAT?

WHERE?

Running Blind:

the event where you get a chance to experience what it is like to run without sight, whilst supporting local charity.

Original idea by Colm 'Bootsy' Fearon in 2015, Running Blind is intended to raise awareness of visually impaired running through a fun event that also challenges entrants.

By popular demand, we have separate 5k and 10k courses - each is multi-surface, and suitable for runners of all abilities.

Sponsored by Heartsine, ALL proceeds from this event go to local charity 'Aaron's Army' (reg charity NIC106304)

Where else to stage this event than the iconic Stormont Estate, Belfast

2018 is our third presentation of Running Blind at Stormont. The organisers are very grateful to the Estate Management Team who kindly permit us to utilise this scenic venue.

One question we are asked each year:

'Are we running up the big hill?'

We DID run up there the first time, however we have made the course more interesting and challenging since then, and we do NOT run up the big hill!

Instead we give you twists, turns, road, gravel path, woodland, and (for the 10k) boardwalk and undualtion!

The organisers of RUNNING BLIND are very grateful to our primary sponsor Heartsine, a member of the Stryker Group, for their generous sponsorship of this event.

ABOUT RUNNING BLIND

Originating from an idea by Colm 'Bootsy' Fearon after guiding a visually impaired runner, RUNNING BLIND is intended to be a fun event for all that raises awareness of visually impaired running, promote #inclusion, and raise much needed funds for LOCAL charity, helping LOCAL families.

The organising team are avid runners, experienced event organisers and volunteers - no-one on the team is paid in any way.
